Panasonic Business Communications Group Closing Down

It is with a very heavy heart that we announce that Panasonic are closing down their Business Communications Group – ending sales of their unified communications products on March 31st, 2021.

We have worked with Panasonic since the inception of Unity Connected Solutions some 15 years ago and have enjoyed working with what we can truly say were a trusted and respected business partner.

Panasonic’s products, while not perhaps leading edge, were reliable – the most reliable product on the market – had a full feature set, great cordless technology and were incredibly inexpensive. When they did move forward with a product, it always worked from day one.

We will be sad to see Panasonic exit the market.

Panasonic will end sales of new Unified Communications products, as mentioned, on March 31st, 2021. They will be continuing to support their products until January, 2023.

Why now?

The market for communications products has changed rapidly in the last few years; with many SMBs migrating to cloud based solutions. With the onset of COVID-19, we have seen massive uptake in people working from home – and this has changed the way people work over an extended period. Companies needed systems and tools that let them communicate and collaborate remotely more effectively. Many looked to cloud based solutions, like Microsoft 365 and Teams or a cloud-based unified communications solution like our own Unity Connect.
